Notable Changes from the Previous Year
The last edition of the TRX is equipped with a 6.2-litre Supercharged V8 engine, along with new exterior colours and other features to mark the end of its production run. This includes patina stitching on the dashboard, beadlock-capable wheels, and carbon fibre accents. Also, all models now have the tailgate ajar warning lamp as a standard feature.
Infotainment and Technology Features
A 5-inch display with Uconnect 3 multimedia system is standard, but high-end models have a larger 12-inch screen with the latest Uconnect 5. Both support Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, SiriusXM, hands-free calling and Wi-Fi hotspots. A 3.5-inch electronic vehicle information centre is also standard, with an optional 12-inch available on higher trims.
Exterior Design
The 2024 Ram 1500 exterior is highlighted by a massive front grille with black inserts and automatic quad halogen headlamps to give it a bold look. Higher up the lineup, LED taillamps, LED fog lamps, body-coloured fenders and chrome power side steps are available. Standard wheels are 18-inch, but these can be upgraded to 20-inch wheels with different finishes.
Interior Comfort and Cargo Space
Inside the Ram 1500, you will find a spacious interior with functional cubby storage options. The standard model includes a 12-volt auxiliary power outlet and a black vinyl floor covering. Ram adds dual automatic temperature control, Mopar off-road rubber floor mats, and power sliding rear windows higher up the lineup.
Performance Features
A 3.6-litre Pentastar V6 engine with an eTorque mild hybrid system is default on the Big Horn and Tradesman editions. The powertrain provides 305 horsepower, 269 lb-ft of torque and 7,710 pounds of max towing. Other available engines are the 5.7-litre HEMI V8, with 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque, and a 6.2-litre supercharged HEMI V8, which provides 702 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque.
Safety and Driver Assistance Features
With more than 100 safety features, the 2024 RAM 1500 gives you the confidence to move forward regardless of the terrain. The forward collision warning alerts you of any objects and can bring the truck to a stop, while the 360-degree camera system allows you to monitor everything around the vehicle. Other features include six airbags with adaptive venting technology and electronic stability control.
